P90X Days 3, 4 and 5

It has been too crazy busy around here for me to keep up with each day this week. It’s been so busy that I didn’t even finish the day 5 workout and haven’t been able to get back to it yet. Today I will though.

Day 3 was Shoulders and Arms then Ab Ripper X. The shoulders and arms part wasn’t too bad. Although I ended up being a little sore the next day, especially my shoulders but the Ab Ripper X is a friggin joke. If you get to the point where you can complete the Ab Ripper X workout and haven’t gained any core strength then there is definitely something wrong with you. My problem is twofold. First, I don’t have the flexibility required to complete this workout the way I should. Second, I don’t have the core strength to complete the workout properly either. All in time, all in time.

Day 4 was Yoga X. Now, for all of you idiots out there that say, “Oh, yoga is for girls or hippies and it’s no big deal. It’s just some silly humming and stretching.” Give it a shot big-mouth. You can come try it for a day and then let’s see how much smack talk you throw around after doing one session. It will kick your ass, royally. As hard as it was it was more frustrating that I wasn’t as flexible as I thought I was. Again, that will come with time. Of course the kids and M screaming in the other room didn’t help the concentration that I was supposed to have either. Perhaps next week.

Day 5 was Legs and Back then Ab Ripper X again. The problem here was that I was already so exhausted and tired from not sleeping well the past couple of nights that I just didn’t have it in me to complete this workout. This is where I’ll pick up today. Since I’ve had a couple of days off I’ll start this workout from the beginning and essentially pick up where I left off.

Tomorrow, according to the schedule is Kenpo X. I have a feeling that once again my lack of balance and flexibility will come into play but hey, I’m here to fix all that, right?
